Yeah, we know, Corning IS a haul, but between the wedding and the area, it’ll be well worth your trip. Corning is a great town and has lots of cool things going on, so we suggest you make a weekend of it. Here are some ideas of fun things in the area:
-Strolling Market Street – Lots of quaint shops, bars, eating, and shopping. Aneillio’s Pizza comes highly recommended.
-Crystal City Jazz & Wine Festival - Corning's Gaffer District comes alive with the sounds of Jazz. Participating businesses will feature live jazz entertainment and wine tasting. Enjoy local and regional jazz artists in Centerway Square (downtown Market Street).
-The Corning Museum of Glass – See where all the magic happens. Lots of great exhibits and a live hot glass show. All three Tackett girls worked at the museum back in the day.
-The Rockwell Museum – According to one website, the largest and finest collection of Western Art in the Eastern US. Paul has never been inside, and Jen hasn’t been there since the renovation about 5 years ago.

There’s a lot going on near Corning too. For example:

-The Gorge
-Wineries along Seneca Lake
